Field Notes

Headless

“Headless” is a back end-only CMS that acts primarily as a content repository. It stores the content and makes it accessible via an API for display on any device or product (website, app, etc), without a built-in front end or presentation layer. They’re highly customizable to meet complex company needs.

A headless CMS is most beneficial for businesses pushing content to multiple platforms or products, rather than a single website. For this reason, they are typically not helpful for Infantree’s current clientele.
